A practical Publisher off-ramp

Microsoft says Publisher reaches end of life in October 2026 and advises customers to convert Publisher files before October 1. It identifies Word or PowerPoint as starting points for many common Publisher jobs.

Before you buy
Questions, answered plainly.
Does this convert or open my Publisher files?
No. It is a fresh set of original Word and PowerPoint layouts. The included workbook helps you inventory and rebuild recurring work, but it does not convert, repair, or open .pub files.
Which software do I need?
A compatible, licensed desktop copy of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Browser and mobile Office apps may not preserve every print-layout detail. Compatibility with Canva, Google Docs/Slides, Pages, Keynote, or LibreOffice is not promised.
Are the templates physically print-tested?
The release files have been exported to PDF and inspected at their stated Letter and A4 dimensions. Printers vary, so the guide requires a 100% paper proof before any full run. The files do not include commercial bleed and are not sold as CMYK press-ready artwork.
Can our volunteers share the editable files?
Yes, within the licensed organization. Editable source files may not be redistributed to another organization, client, or public template library. Choose the network license if five named sites need the files.
Are the sample church, figures, and event details real?
No. Organization names, people, dates, metrics, financial figures, addresses, and URLs are illustrative. Replace and approve every detail before publishing.
