The two-sided bifold page map

A bifold bulletin prints as two landscape pages and folds down the middle. The outside sheet needs a back panel on the left and a front cover on the right. The inside sheet holds the gathering order and announcements in normal left-to-right reading order.

Why Word works for this job

Weekly bulletin content is mostly live text: dates, names, schedules, directions, and announcements. Word gives a church office a familiar editing surface, spell checking, table-based structure, and straightforward PDF export. For best fidelity, use a current desktop version of Word. Save the original master untouched, create a dated working copy, and replace sample text in place. If content grows, shorten it before shrinking the type.

Letter and A4 are separate files for a reason

US Letter is 8.5 × 11 inches. A4 is 210 × 297 millimeters. The difference looks small on screen, but it changes fold positions, panel widths, line wrapping, and printable margins. FolioForward supplies a true DOCX file for each size instead of asking the printer to scale one into the other.

Duplex settings to test

1. Open the file matching the paper. Confirm Letter or A4 before editing or exporting.
2. Export at Standard or High quality. Avoid a minimum-size PDF for printed small text.
3. Print at 100% or Actual Size. Do not select Fit unless deliberate scaling is acceptable.
4. Begin with flip on short edge. That is common for a landscape bifold, but printers vary.
5. Fold and read one physical proof. Check panel order, margins, fonts, grayscale, and every QR destination.
